We’re always more than happy to answer any questions you might have. Browse answers to questions we’re often asked about our behavior consulting services below—and don’t hesitate to reach out with any additional questions or to set up a time to chat.

What does a licensed behavior analyst do?

A behavior analyst uses validated, customized techniques to increase skills, decrease challenging behaviors, and increase positive behaviors.

Can you work with our students directly, or do you mainly work with educators?

We primarily interact with educators—but we always demonstrate our recommendations with students, which allows educators to watch the interventions first-hand and feel confident before implementing them on their own.

Can you consult with my school?

We’re excited to provide behavior consulting services for public, private, and charter, schools—as well as rehabilitation campuses and an array of other educational settings.

Can you work with my insurance?

In some cases, yes; however, in general, insurance companies do not cover ABA services in school settings in the state of Utah.

How does a behavior analyst help educators?

An effective behavior analyst understands the school environment and makes recommendations in compliance with any school regulations. We teach in a way that empowers educators to improve their existing classroom structure and individualized behavioral strategies—rather than pushing techniques which override their experience or compete with their curriculum.

Overall, a great licensed behavior analyst focuses on increasing skills—which naturally decreases challenging behavior, rather than centering treatment on challenging behavior only.

Do you offer virtual services?

We absolutely do. We understand virtual services are currently the most safe and secure option as we navigate the complexities of COVID-19—and we’re more than happy to provide training, consultations, or strategy sessions virtually.

When can we start?

We’re glad to hear you’re excited to begin (we are, too!). Typically—barring any extreme or unexpected circumstances—an initial virtual consultation can be scheduled within one week of a caregiver or educator reaching out.
